We met in Europe in 1999 while on two different trips. Joel was on his way to Poland to staff a youth camp and Krista was part of a videography team for Greater Europe Mission. At the Orientation week, we caught each other's interest, but the real romance began later.

As part of Krista's involvement in the churchplanting stages of Apex Community Church, she was the coordinator for several of the early mission trips of the church. Fortunately for our relationship, many of those included planning on the phone with Joel, who could help with connections in Mexico and Arizona.

A turning point for our work and our relationship came while shooting a video in Bulgaria. We saw how God could use the gifts He'd given us (and we enjoyed using) and how we could do this work together.

In 2002, we were married on the beach in California!

It was clear that God was leading us into full-time video production for missionaries and non-profit organizations. But we soon realized that they rarely had the funds to pay for the services they desperately needed.

So, we hit the road.

For nearly 2 years, we traveled the US, speaking in churches and meeting with individuals, seeking to raise our financial support to cover our living expenses, enabling us to offer our video production services at basically no cost. In February 2005, we reached full support! Now we are working full-time as videographers for non-profit organizations.

It's been an awesome experience to be a part of this adventure! We've learned a lot about God and His faithfulness and generosity.
